A local Philadelphia woman has been accused of reporting her car stolen back in July and making a false insurance claim all the while knowing where her car was.

Kellie Black, 40, of Cinnaminson Avenue apparently brought her Jeep Liberty to the Meineke auto shop for repairs, but when she found out her car was unable to be fixed she abandoned the vehicle.

According to police, after dumping her car, Black called the Philadelphia police and reported her car stolen in the city, and went as far as to file a false insurance claim that left her with a pay out of $5,000.
