A female driver in Monaco, France created quite a stir in July when she became the center of attention in one of the most expensive fender-benders you’ll ever see.
The woman, driving a Bentley Azure worth around $380,000, started her wreckage by hitting a $120,000 Mercedes-Benz S Class on a roundabout in front of the posh Place du Casino in Monte Carlo.
That was only the beginning; to add insult to injury the woman went on to hit three other luxury cars, including a Porsche 911, priced at around $130,000, a Ferrari F430, priced at around $270,000, and an Aston Martin Rapide, priced at around $230,000.
As you would expect, the impressive accident scene came fully equipped with a large number of tourists and a photo-snapping frenzy. Unfortunately, the driver and her passengers had to endure the drawn out embarrassment from her car, as her doors were jarred shut.
The total damages are estimated to be more than $1 Million. The Ferrari, Porsche, and Aston Martin are said to require new front wings and bumpers, while the offenders Bentley will need similar repairs, as well as a new door.
You probably couldn’t find a worse place in the world to crash your car than outside Monaco’s Place du Casino in the middle of the summer,” Ruud Poot, editor of European motoring website Autogespot, told the Daily Mail.
